| ..hi, there's something I'll like to know about the Muslim religion for the sake of my own understanding, hope Muslim brothers or anyone else with adequate understanding of the matter can help me out. Thanks!
God say cannot touch some animals in the Bible so Jews and Muslims obey. They are called unclean animals.
Unclean Animals
Swine Boar Peccary Pig (hog, bacon, ham, lard, pork)
Canines Coyote Dog Fox Hyena Jackal Wolf
Felines Cat Cheetah Leopard Lion Panther Tiger
Equines Ass Donkey Horse Mule Onager Zebra (quagga)
Other Armadillo Badger Bear Beaver Camel Elephant Gorilla Groundhog Hare Hippopotamus Kangaroo Mole Monkey Mouse Muskrat Opossum Porcupine Rabbit Raccoon Rat Rhinoceros Skunk Slug Snail (escargot) Squirrel Wallaby Weasel Wolverine Worm All insects except some in the locust family
Marine Animals Without Scales and Fins Fish Bullhead Catfish Eel Marlin Paddlefish Sculpin Shark Stickleback Squid Sturgeon (includes most caviar) Swordfish Turbot Shellfish
Abalone Clam Crab Crayfish Lobster Mussel Prawn Oyster Scallop Shrimp
Soft body Cuttlefish Jellyfish Limpet Octopus Squid (calamari)
Sea mammals Dolphin Otter Porpoise Seal Walrus Whale
Birds of Prey, Scavengers and Others Albatross Bat Bittern Buzzard Condor Coot Cormorant Crane Crow Cuckoo Eagle Flamingo Grebe Grosbeak Gull Hawk Heron Kite Lapwing Loon Magpie Osprey Ostrich Owl Parrot Pelican Penguin Plover Rail Raven Roadrunner Sandpiper Seagull Stork Swallow Swift Vulture Water hen Woodpecker
Reptiles Alligator Caiman Crocodile Lizard Snake Turtle
Amphibians Blindworm Frog Newt Salamander Toad
How come cats are in the unclean animal section, yet a number of Muslim families still keep them???

| 1.) Along the way, culture is mixed with religion (Disclaimer: I'm not saying that Islam in Singapore is diluted) and hence a compromise, 2.) They are not aware or not sure of what the Koram says, or
3.) Did the Koram really say so or did you read it with your own eyes and seek counsel from a Muslim teacher.

| Yeah, and it also states that Muslims should not charge or receive interests, yet there are many who still buy cars. Now I find this unfair as Muslims are scrutinized when they need to buy cars. | |

Religions dont cause wars..PEOPLE cause wars! The lack of respect, greed, power cause wars then they use religion as the reason.

| Ok for Pigs ....etc, my ex supervisor told me why.
Noah who build the ark and gather all the animals into it, to get away form the great fload, ldecide to let the pigs do the holy job.... Clean the waste of the ship. The pigs...etc are not condem, they are being respected and must not be harm because they clean all wasted of all animals just for the sake of everone on board.
Years pass, and a bible is simple yet different ppl read conclude with different ideas. Some hygineic ppl start to mistaken and tot pigs are dirty thats why muslim friends doesn't touch them. its all up to how one think lol...
My explaination. Not offical so no need argue:D

| if talking about islam, i think few animals stated in the list are not allowed, rest of them imho are stories. and yeah as far as i know cat is allowed, and even if a muslim do a french kiss with a dog he wont become non muslim, its just 3-4 basic rules to decide between a clean and unclean animal. for the freaking out and running its coz we can not pray if the dog touches us, otherwise as i said its ok. the story of noah, i think not in islam. there is some other reason for pigs. | |

not good to say such a thing if u dun noe the reason, if u dun like it, good for you. ignore it. avoid such ppl. OR if i say... have you seen the faces of people who prefer dogs over children, cant raise children but can have pets. or faces of people who keep dogs and soon become dogs

Ah, that's another thing I find strange. Is it okay to listen to music if Islam forbids you to? Is there any sin created? If so, why continue?
