I do celebrate Christmas. It starts on the eve when we go to church for midnight mass, not exactly midnite lar cos I go to the one that is at 9pm but we're usually there by 7pm. There's a pageant then the mass starts.
After that, we go home for some supper of tarts n fruit cake (yum yum)
On Christmas day, my relatives come over and stay there for the rest of the day till abt 11pm. We cater food and my mum cooks her Devil Curry (its an Eurasian dish)
We buy presents for each other.
I think most of us Christians need to focus more on the true meaning of Christmas. Yes, we do go to church and pray but many of us focus more on presents n food n less on what exactly happened 2007 yrs ago on this day.
Everything has gotten so commercialised and becos of this, we always and I mean always have arguements during Christmas over what to buy for who. Its the gesture that counts n not the cost. These r trivial things while the most impt thing to remember is the person who was born.
When I was younger, I used to say I would only give presents to those who gave me presents but thats not what Christmas is about. Its about giving without expecting something in return. And while I may not have anything to give everyone of you cos i'm dead broke..ker ker ker..I would like to wish u all a beautiful Christmas. I pray the day would be beautiful enough for those of u who want to go out n enjoy the sun n sea, beautiful for those of u who want to spend time with loved ones, beautiful for those of u who want to just stay home n relax n beautiful for all of u to be happy.
MUACKS!!!!!!!!
