| i dunno where to post this.. maybe we can have a place where we can tok abt digital stuff yea? admin pple, pls take note~~ thanks ;] anyway, i managed to read abt this wonderful wonderful subnotebook on today's Digital Life [a section of ST] and it seems too good to be true. and more imptly, since im a student at SIM, can i know if this type of subnotebooks can be used for work-related stuff? and can it do wad normal laptops and PCs do? wad are the things that it can do but not wad the normal laptops and PCs do?? wad are it's pros and cons!!? | |

| hmm.. i dun tink well of the Eee PC as well.. might as well get a normal decent one.. now laptops r getting cheaper.. the 512mb ram and 4gb storage aint worth it for the quoted price (600+).. 4gb wun store many of ur "schoolwork" files and web browsing cache. not to 4get, the suite of stuff that u gonna install wud probably take up a sizable portion (of cos if u wanna install microsoft office, mindmaping tools, imaging editing tools, its addition stress on ur already puny storage space..)
u wud probably nid an ext HDD to haf more memory which wud break ur bank yet again.. but if u wanna buy the ee pc then got a ext HDD wud be fine oso bah.. but the 512mb ram wud prob lag ur com alot.. | |

| 7" is seriously small..
mus consider whether the size is okay for viewing.. y strain ur eyes?
altho the weight is attractive but still size of screen is oso impt. | |

def not enough.
my songs + schwork is more than that.. wat about the Microsoft office software? it alr takes up more than 4gb..
my sch work alone is more than 1gb alr i mean those accumulated from las time.. notes and everything. | |
