bat lifespan max should be 3 hours,
but it also depends on climate surroundings as well -.-''

hmm.. i dun tink well of the Eee PC as well.. might as well get a normal decent one.. now laptops r getting cheaper.. the 512mb ram and 4gb storage aint worth it for the quoted price (600+).. 4gb wun store many of ur "schoolwork" files and web browsing cache. not to 4get, the suite of stuff that u gonna install wud probably take up a sizable portion (of cos if u wanna install microsoft office, mindmaping tools, imaging editing tools, its addition stress on ur already puny storage space..)

u wud probably nid an ext HDD to haf more memory which wud break ur bank yet again.. but if u wanna buy the ee pc then got a ext HDD wud be fine oso bah.. but the 512mb ram wud prob lag ur com alot..

usually the lifespan would not be as long as claimed.. mine they claim to last for 3-4 hours.. end up.. only last for 1-2 hours =\\
